Mow Cop - National Trust

Mow Cop - National Trust

Mow Cop is a man made folly at Mow Cop in Cheshire. The ridge, which the castle sits, forms the boundary between the counties of Cheshire and Staffordshire. The castle folly was always supposed to look ruined and was designed to create a romantic view. There is a short 2km walk around the ruins of the castle, taking in Old Man of Mow, a distinctive rock feature in the landscape.
