Shutlingsloe Walk
Shutlingsloe is a brilliant walk for families who prefer a walk that's not just flat and boring. It takes you through Macclesfield Forest and up a 506 meter high mountain.
• Nice wide paths through the forest
• Easy signs to read and follow
• Big stepping stones for most of the path, meaning it wasn't that muddy.
• A magnificent mountain to climb with a reward of a trig at the top.
• Brilliant views of Cheshire and the Peaks.

Millennium Walkway in New Mills Family Walks in Cheshire. I love a good walk, and even better if it has a beautiful view or a trig point. Sometimes children can find walking boring or tough going so I've tried to include walks which are interesting and not too challenging. Most of these walks my own daughters have done who are 9 and 12. A cafe or a place to get an ice cream is always a bonus on a walk and my girls love a trail to find things along the way. Here are some of my favourite child...
