My daughter took four of her friends to Challenge Point for her birthday and it turned out to be a perfect Birthday Party venue. It's something a bit different and will definitely have them using both their brains and body to work out the challenges in each room.

Challenge Point is basically a crazy interactive gameshow where teams of 2–6 battle it out through a series of mini games, trying to score as many points as possible.
You take on 6 different challenges, each lasting around 5 minutes, testing everything from your memory and general knowledge to coordination, speed, communication and teamwork. And then the highest-scoring teams go through to the epic final round! 🏆
And honestly, it was PERFECT for my daughter's birthday who turned 12.
The games really do make you work together, they need to communicate, listen to each other and almost know what their friends are thinking.
They cheered each other on, laughed their heads off and every time they came out of a room they were immediately chatting about everything that had just happened in those crazy five minutes.
I think it also tested their friendships just a little bit…

Game Studio
Between games, all teams come together in the game studio. On the screen at the front of the room it shows which coloured room you will be entering next. You play 6 games but there are infact about 8 so even if you visit again you may still play new games.
You can also check out your scores and the scores of other teams to see how you are doing. Between games you can nip to the toilet or get a drink of water and talk tactics for the next game.

Let’s just say, the kids owned this one. With their ninja-like reflexes, they crawled, jumped, and twisted through laser beams like pros. Cheering each other on like mad in this room.

Your shopping list appears on the screen. It's your job to run around the shop finding the items and scanning the barcode to buy them. It's frantic, real-life supermarket sweep.

With 18 holes to try to get your ball in this game is a test of your aim and ability to not get the ball in the same hole twice.

Nerf gun meets pop quiz. Questions come up on the screen, can you find the answer in the form of True, False, Jack, Queen, King, Ace or any number of celebs. Hit the right answer with your Nerf Gun!

Split by a wall, the girls had to describe and match faces with only their voices, no peeking! It was a hilarious test of how well they know each other, and let’s just say, their communication skills were truly put to the test.

Mr & Mrs Charades:
This might have been their favourite! Each team watched the other team act out objects and animals on a TV screen, completely silent. No sound, just gestures, inside jokes, and wild guesses. They had fun trying to interpret "Freddie Krueger", "mowing the lawn" and “violin” through frantic miming.
Between games, they regrouped in the game studio to check which room was coming next, see what points they got and the catch their breath. The pressure of the clock combined with the competitive buzz made everything feel ten times more intense.
If you love interactive, immersive games or have a competitive streak, Challenge Point Chester is a must-visit. It’s the perfect family outing, team-building experience, or unique day out with friends. Expect thrills, chaos, and a whole lot of laughter.
If you've got older kids, tweens or teens and you're looking for a birthday party that gets them off their phones and properly involved, this is definitely one to consider.
