Outplayed Gameshow Manchester is an immersive, gameshow-themed venue that's both fun and competitive. Set inside an arena packed with buzzers, dice, lights, and plenty of energy, it puts you and your friends at the heart of the action. Across three action-filled rounds inspired by classic TV favourites (with a few unexpected twists), you’ll face everything from fast-paced trivia and hilarious physical challenges to quirky questions like guessing how much a bag of pasta costs.
We went along with some friends and it was honestly so much fun and a great way to spend an entertaining afternoon in Manchester. Our group we aged 10 - 45 and every one of us was laughing, cheering and getting involved.
It's perfect for so many different groups, teenagers birthday party, hen do, stag do, work team building, groups of adults and of course the whole family.

Finding Outplayed
We arrived in Manchester by train, getting off at Piccadilly Station. From there, the venue is about a 20-minute walk, so it’s best to use Google Maps to guide you. When you leave the station, turn left and walk past Depot Mayfield. Signage for Outplayed is limited, so don’t be surprised if you don’t spot it right away. Instead, look out for their main company, The Archetype, which is in the same building.

Let’s Begin
Before entering the arena, everyone is randomly split into two teams by drawing dice from a bag. So don't arrive thinking its going to be boys v girl etc, your teams are at random. Next comes the fun part, you get to create your very own game show nickname, which the hosts will use throughout the experience. This instantly set the tone for the day, as we had a great laugh coming up with ridiculous names for each other.
The Arena
As the curtain was pulled back, we stepped into the game show arena, a room buzzing with energy and packed with different games set up around the space. Two long tables faced the front, one for each team, complete with a bell and buzzer ready for action. At the centre stood the game host, microphone in hand and a stack of question cards at the ready. The atmosphere hit us immediately; we couldn’t stop smiling. Just glancing around at all the games, we knew we were in for some serious fun.
The Games
The experience offers a brilliant mix of challenges. Some rounds test your memory and knowledge with trivia questions, while others get you moving with active, skill-based tasks. The rules are simple enough for children to join in, and many games spark nostalgia, reminding you of classic TV game shows.
One highlight was a round of Family Fortunes—we had to name the most popular cereals and the first things people do when they wake up. It had us laughing while desperately trying to think of the best answers.
Other games ramp up the chaos with fast-paced, physical challenges. You might be racing the clock to piece together a jigsaw, knocking down a wall of foam bricks, or battling in a hilarious game of table football—where the only way to score is by blowing the ball into the goal. Every round feels fresh, unpredictable, and guaranteed fun.

Game Lineup:
• Trivia Quiz
• Blow Football
• Jigsaw building
• Tower building
• Tower knocking down
• Ball balancing maze
• Price your shopping
• Family fortune
• bonus plinko round
The Hosts
The energy in the arena is fantastic and this is definitely down to the energy of the host. The host boosted the game show atmosphere with witty banter and he riled up our competitive edge. Vince & Tim who run the company are really fun and know how to fill an awkward silence when your trying to think of a clever answer, making you laugh instead of actually thinking of any answer at all.
Final Verdict
My eldest daughter has already asked if she could have her birthday party here, which actually would work perfectly. Imagine a group of teenagers taking on family fortunes or blow football, the giggling would be unreal.
Outplayed Manchester is more than just a game — it’s the challenge you never knew you wanted, an experience that pulls you out of your comfort zone, gets you cheering for your team, and leaves you buzzing long after the final round. If you’re in Manchester and looking for something new, fun, and totally different, this is a game you’ll definitely want to play.
