Tucked away on Church Walk in Holmes Chapel, The Village Kitchen is a café that takes breakfast, brunch, and lunch to the next level with its delicious and beautifully crafted dishes.
This isn’t your average café—The Village Kitchen stands out with its gorgeously tempting menu, where every dish is crying out to be selected and what ever you choose you wont be disappointed.

The options on the menu are great from a full fry up, to a posher eggs benedict to a more simple but still tasty bacon butty. Their cheese toasties are a true standout, with gooey, melted cheese both inside and out, creating a crispy, golden bite of perfection. But it’s not just about taste—each plate is artfully presented, making every meal as visually stunning as it is delicious.
The friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere makes it such an easy place to step into when wanting a quick bite to eat or a leisurely lunch with a friend for a good old catch up.

What we ordered:
The Not So Big Breakfast
Smoked bacon, sausage, egg your way, hash brown, roast field mushroom, slow roast tomato, beans, sourdough toast
Shakshuka (V)
Spiced Middle Eastern tomato and pepper stew, baked eggs, sourdough toast

Our Verdict
I have eaten at The Village Kitchen a number of times and every time I'm tempted into trying something different. My Shakshuka today was gorgeous, packed with fresh peppers and chunks of tomato that was paired with crispy sourdough toast for dipping. I've had their Eggs Benedict with pulled ham on a previous visit and oh my word that ham was immense. Massive chucks of ham nestled on the top of perfectly poached eggs.
The fact my mum ordered a "not so big" breakfast and was stilled wowed by the size, i would have loved her face if she had ordered the "Big one"

In short, amazing food that will put a smile on your face while supporting local is the perfect combination
