💦Aqua Park - Opens in May

💦Watersports Hire
Visitors can choose from paddleboards, kayaks, canoes, and Mega SUPs (large paddleboards accommodating up to eight people). Each hire session lasts 50 minutes and includes the necessary equipment.
💦Paddleboard Hire
You can hire a paddleboard either solo or in a small group. This was £16 (Aug 2024) for one which we could all three of us could get on and included buoyancy aids,
On the paddleboard my 9 year old took charge of the paddling. She has got a lot better this summer at holding the paddle and knowing how to dig into the water. She led us around the islands in the middle of the lake. We went past so many interesting water devises. People had brought lots of things to go on the water. There were canoes, kayaks, lilos and small blow up boats.

Lakeside Kitchen
The Lakeside Kitchen is situation right by the lake with both indoor and outdoor seating. They have a large menu offering breakfasts, lunches, snacks and afternoon teas.
Takeaway Food Stalls
If you are after a quick bite to eat while enjoying the watersports on the lake there is also takeaway food options such as pizzas, paninis, kids meals, loaded fries and sweet treats.
Picnic
You can easily bring a picnic to eat at Alderford Lake, Lots of people bring big set ups for the day in the summer with blankets and folding chairs. There are also some picnic tables dotted around the lake.
🛝Children's Play Area
This is only small but was a nice bonus that we found it by the side of the lake. There is a wooden climbing frame with a slide and a basket swing.
🥾Walking around the Lake
The circular trail around the lake is approximately 0.8 miles (1.3 km) and is a good flat path with some sections of grass. It is suitable for families, casual walkers, and those with pushchairs or wheelchairs. The loop takes about 20 to 25 minutes to complete, and it has a few wooden assault course activities to do while you go around. These are great for children to play on and ad interest to the walk.

Parking is free for the first 3 hours, then you just pay for the extra if you are there for longer.
Up to 4 hours is £3, and all day is £5 (2024 prices)
