🍂 We visited on the second weekend of October with their Regular Pumpkin Picking ticket. I was delighted to see that The Lambing Shed’s patch is truly homegrown. Half of the field had already been pre-picked, making it easier to spot the perfect pumpkin, but my favourite part was definitely the untouched half, vines sprawling everywhere and pumpkins peeking out from under big leafy canopies. It felt like a proper little adventure. My daughter and I split up to search for the best one, calling out to each other in excitement whenever we made a good find.

The patch also has plenty of fun photo opportunities, with an classic pumpkin house, a couple of swings, hay bales to climb on, and even a photo spot especially for dogs!

We spent about an hour exploring before choosing two lovely pumpkins to add to our doorstep display back home. The patch is conveniently located right next to the car park, so it’s easy to drop off your pumpkins to the car before heading over to the Pumpkin Barn, farm shop, or café.

🎃 The Pumpkin Barn

Inside the spacious barn, you’ll find plenty of seating along with some pumpkin-themed lawn games, like noughts and crosses and bowling. Crafts with Vicky is also there, running Halloween-themed craft sessions that you can pre-book or join on the day, perfect for little ones. There’s a great selection of refreshments too, including seasonal drinks, ice creams, and cakes.
