The new space features a fantastic role-play café and market, plus a dedicated toddler-only area and a cosy baby sensory zone. It’s an ideal spot to meet up with friends or treat the kids after a shopping trip in Northwich. Grab a coffee, enjoy lunch, and finish with one of their tempting cakes or an ice cream—while the little ones burn off energy in a safe and imaginative setting.
The adventure play area encourages climbing, crawling, and plenty of imaginative play. At its heart is a large wooden structure with high nets, towers, and that impressively speedy slide. Beneath it, kids can explore grassy mounds, tunnels, and bridges—a great space to climb high or crawl low.

👶 Toddler Area
There’s a separate, thoughtfully designed toddler zone for under 3s. It includes a mini climbing frame with slides, a construction area complete with bricks, hi-vis jackets and hard hats, and lots of engaging sensory toys. The fibre-optic lights and mirrors in the sensory corner are especially cute. There were some babies there on our visit simple enjoying the space while the mums sat around in a circle chatting.
There are lots of signs saying the toddler area is only for under 3s and there is only a small opening to get into this area so the staff are trying to keep this a safe a secure area for really little ones

🥕 Roll Play There is a brand new play cafe and mini market
filled with pretend food and a till. Children can take your order and do their shopping and even make you a coffee. There is also dress up clothes, play cleaning equipment and a dolls house. All great for imaginative play.

My daughter is 10, and while you might think this place is too young, she genuinely had a great time. She still loves imaginative play and easily navigated the climbing areas and nets. Although the toddler area is off-limits for older children, there was still plenty to enjoy—and we rounded off our visit with a lovely lunch together.

☕ Food & Drink
The café area spans both the ground floor and an upper-level viewing gallery—ideal for relaxing while keeping an eye on the kids.
On the Menu
There’s a great selection for children, with both hot and cold options. My daughter went for the Tots Platter, which included cold pasta, veggie sticks, and fruit salad.
I was impressed by the adult menu too—refreshingly more than just sandwiches. I opted for the BLT Bagel, served with a generous salad and veggie crisps, which was a really nice touch.
It’s a fantastic concept, and a welcome addition back to Barons Quay. Whether you're popping in for a play session or settling in for lunch while the kids explore, Wild Tots is a lovely family-friendly space that encourages creativity, activity, and connection.

🚗 Parking
Barons Quay car park located at ASDA has 900 parking spaces including disabled, parent & child and EV charging bays (max stay 4hrs) and is just a short walk round to Wild Tots.
🎶 Children's Classes
There will be some lovely baby and toddler classes starting at Wild Tots. Things like Rhythm Time and NCT as well as special seasonal events.
