At the LEGOLAND Castle Hotel Windsor, LEGO is everywhere, turning the entire hotel into a colourful, hands-on world of creativity. From towering models of knights and dragons and Lego themed decor to interactive building areas, every detail sparks your imagination. At the same time, it’s a comfortable place to stay after a busy day at the theme park, with cosy rooms and family-friendly touches that make it both fun and practical.
We checked into the Castle Hotel at LEGOLAND Windsor as a family of 4 for a short break, and it blew me away from the moment we arrived. The whole place is bursting with colour, packed with LEGO bricks, and displays. It genuinely feels like a giant box of LEGO has exploded in there.

What Makes it so Amazing
There are LEGO pits everywhere you turn, and the playroom is on another level entirely. My daughter could have happily spent hours in there building and exploring.
Every corner is filled with something fun and creative, making it an absolute dream for any LEGO fan. Honestly, I was a bit disappointed to leave the hotel and head into the theme park this morning, that’s how much we loved it!
Castle Hotel Bedroom
⭐ One clever touch: there’s a padlocked cupboard in tour room. Find the puzzle sheet, solve it to find the code to the lock! When we opened it, my daughter was thrilled to find a stash of LEGO goodies inside.
The Rooms are just as fun and colourful as the hotel. With a separate kids sleeping area with bunk beds that can sleep up to 3 and more Lego to play with with a Lego building table next to their bed, plus their own tv. Further into the large room you have wardrobe storage and a pretty big bathroom with both a bath and shower and fun Lego theming on the walls.
The main bed is a comfy double with plenty of pillows. Opposite you have a large desk with charging points, tea and coffee facilities including a fancy coffee pod machine. There is also a small fridge which comes in so handy if want to keep a packed lunch in there for the next day or just keep a couple of drinks cool. Outside our window we had a view over the lake and the theme park. The hotels are seriously close to the park and incorporated in to park so its easy to head back to pick up or drop off coats or if the kids just need a rest.
You Can Use Both Hotels
When you stay in the Castle Hotel you can also use the facilities at The Legoland Hotel. Moving between both to use the bars, swimming pool and Lego Playroom.

Swim & Splash
There is a Swimming Pool and Pirate Splash Pool in the main Legoland Hotel. We didn't manage to do swimming as couldn't fit it in but I went to have a look in the morning and such a bonus to your stay.
Make sure you pre book a slot, they are available 30 days prior to your arrival.
Eat & Drink
Multiple places to eat Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
Skyline Bar at LEGOLAND® Resort Hotel
Serving lunch and dinner in a more relaxed setting as there is no need to book and is open plan to the main foyer of the hotel right by where the entertainment happens.
Bricks Restaurant at LEGOLAND® Resort Hotel
With a large all you can eat buffet including dishes like Italian pasta, Portugal’s zingy peri peri chicken or a variety of British classics, alongside fresh salads, warm breads, and soups. Plus a super selection of puddings. There is plenty of kid friendly options too.
At Breakfast Time Bricks Restaurant offers a buffet breakfast for guests.
Tournament Tavern at Castle Hotel
This is a more fine dining option with a chance to have a 3 course set menu or simply order from the A la Carte menu. Both have dishes like pan seared salmon or duck breast while also having kid friendly dishes.
At Breakfast Time Tournament Tavern offers a served breakfast for guests. We found this to be a slightly more restrictive choice as it is either a full English or a continental with cereal, frui, yoghurt and pastries. We also found this breakfast took us longer than having a buffet as we had to wait to order and then wait for the food to come. If you are eager to get into the park early making use of the early ride time then i would definitely book the buffet option or book the Tavern for an early time.
Get a Takeaway Delivered:
If you want to skip the restaurant and go for the ultimate laid-back option you can order an Uber Eats straight to hotel reception. With loads of takeaway options that deliver to LEGOLAND, it’s a brilliant choice if you're after something budget-friendly or have kids who are done for the day.
If you are planning on ordering a takeaway pack some picnic plates and cutlery to eat your takeaway with.
Playgrounds
Both hotels have an outside children's play area right next to where you can enjoy that drink and talk about your day in the park.
Lego Playroom
Walking into this room was a WOW moment. It is a huge space, featuring so many building opportunities, incredible Lego displays, a cafe and a chance to play with both LEGO and DUPLO. This is perfect for filling time between arriving at the hotel and your evening meal or even to play until bedtime as its open till 9pm. My daughter loved this room and it was almost a shame to drag her out to go into the theme park.

Early Ride Time
When staying over at the resort hotels you can enter the park at 9.30am giving you a head start before the gates officially open at 10. Although only four rides are open during this early window, it’s usually enough time to tick off a couple of favourites before the main crowds arrive. Make sure you get in line before 9.30 as the staff checking tickets can take a while so try be at the front and have your tickets ready plus proof of your over night stay.

LEGO Adventure Mini Golf
On your over night stay another activity you can book is world’s first indoor golf experience themed entirely around LEGO® It’s a great addition to any LEGOLAND short break or a stand-alone visit for locals and day-trippers alike. With its indoor setting and imaginative LEGO® touches, it’s an all-weather activity suitable for the whole family. Prices start from £10 pp but hotel guests get a discount.

Overall Experience
We loved our stay at the Castle Hotel. It was so relaxing to sit and enjoy a drink while the girls built with Lego in the Skyline Bar. The rooms were cosy, comfortable, and had everything we needed for our overnight stay
The whole place is incredibly aesthetically pleasing, fun, colourful, and full of playful touches. For any LEGOLAND fan the overnight stay really adds to the whole experience. I would have loved to have more time at the hotel and almost didn't want to leave it to go into the theme park it was that good.
